Florida Department of Health Proposes Amendments to Rules for Dental Laboratories

On February 24, 2014, the Florida Department of Health issued a Notice of Development of Rulemaking proposing certain changes to Administrative Rules governing Dental Laboratories, including the rules addressing inspections, registration, and continuing education requirements.

The Department of Health has proposed making changes to the following Rules:

The Department has advised that the "amendments to the rules use current statutory terminology, update the dental laboratory registration application, adopt a form for reporting compliance with continuing education requirements, and clarify that continuing education completion and reporting is required for a full biennium or two year period of registration."
